Mohalla- A new concept restaurant in D3

Mohalla…….. the name in itself is so nost

Coming back to the food …… The menu is designed creatively ….which says ‘small bhook’ (for starters) & ‘big bhook’ (for main course) … so we started with some papad … not any normal papad, but dosa papad which was served with various flavored chutnies which were served in a cute small tiffin.

From the starters…, we order….

⁃ Raj Kachori which is wonderfully crunchy, sweet & with a bit of spicy — it’s my favorite dish during our visit.

⁃ 1965 Buhari …. their fried version of revolutionary chicken 65.

⁃ Calamari Koliwada ….. crispy fried calamari… coated with goda spices…. tossed with chaat masala…. served with a delicious peanut dip.

⁃ Thepla Tacos ….. an Indian version of tacos … served in 3 different flavors of fillings …. Nimbu Chicken, Naga Jackfruit & Kashmiri Prawns. …. quite a filling starters.

⁃ Tandoori Prawns…. black pepper coated prawns, cooked in tandoor & served with mint labaneh. …. it was delish.

⁃ & last starter was Chicken momos …. the only one which was not up to the mark … was just okay for us.

From the mains…… we tried their …

⁃ Deccan Chicken Biryani…. a perfect biryani. … served with raita.

⁃ Delhi 6 Chicken…. as we belong to Delhi, we can easily relate to this name … actually Delhi 6 is the name given to Old Delhi … & it’s famous for all the authentic & delicious food corners. … this particular dish was inspired by the same & was rally scrumptious.

⁃ Mutton Kosha….. slow cooked caramelized lamb… really recommendable.

⁃ Along with their variety of naan & Paratha … yummmmm

From the drinks, they served us some of their favorite Mojitos.. …. lime mint Mojito, watermelon Mojito, Peach Mojito & Passion fruit Mojito…. all were refreshing … only the lemon mint was a bit more tangy.

Now …… the star of the evening .. DESSERTS … they served us the fresh…. hot & crispy Jalebi with Rabri … it was the best … I wish they would have served us the Rabri a bit more. 😍😍

To sum it all …. Mohalla is a recommendable place … which serves you the Indian Authentic food with a big of twist … it focuses much more on presentation & healthy cooking rather than all the fancy technology which sometimes destroys the flavors of the food.

Thanks a lot to White Label for introducing us to this amazing place & thanks to the entire team of Mohalla for hosting us. We are definitely going back there soon.
