Masala Craft- Century Village

Masala Craft is no doubt one of the finest Indian restaurant ….. serving different cuisines of India. This restaurant has been serving since 2006. I was invited there by my friends & bloggers …Anum & Suren.

The place is quite spacious with plenary of seatings inside & outside as well.

Before we could start eating they make us wah our hands in a traditional Indian style … in a beautiful Tash- e- naari … it’s a vessel which was used to wash hands of the guest to show them respect. We hardly find this anywhere.

So … coming back to food …

We started with some pani puri shots…. everyone’s favorite. … followed by

⁃ Mutton seekh Kebab … finagle licking good

⁃ Andhara Chicken… a bit spicy … but was delicious.

⁃ Bharwa Kumbh …. stuffed mushrooms … tastes amazing.

⁃ Chicken quesadillas… not so indian starter though

⁃ Tansoori Jheenga …, grilled prawns. Served on a grill stick… directly from the oven ….hot & sizzling …

Starters were top notch & extremely delicious.

From the mains…. we ordered …

⁃ Kachche gosht ke dum biryani ….served with boondi raita… a famous awadhi biryani .. cooked with perfection.

⁃ Lamb Chops … simple grilled chops with just perfect spices … served with a portion of pulao.

⁃ Paneer Kalimiri…. a spicy curry flavored with freshly crushed peppercorns.

⁃ Rahma Gosh…. a milange of mince & pieces of mutton with a tawa tadka.

⁃ Chicken Zafrani …. chicken cooked in saffron sauce in traditional dum process. Loved the smell of saffron.

⁃ Tiranga Murg …. that was the star dish of the day …. a whole boneless chicken stuffed with dum awadhi biryani, marinated in tandoori masala… wrapped in banana leaf & cooked in clay oven…. wooaah … as amazing as it sounds … in fact it’s a whole meal in it self.

We tried some of their refreshing drinks too …

⁃ Fruit cup

⁃ Shirley Temple

⁃ Mint cooler

⁃ Naked Colada

Presented perfectly & taste even better.

In desserts we tried some of the basic desserts of India like…. gulab jamun, kulfi, rabdi & Ras malai.. all were amazing except the Ras malai …

To sum it all ….. an amazing place … with awesome food … best hosting … beautiful ambience. …. over all a highly recommendable place.
